AML/ATF Compliance

FINTRAC is increasingly evaluating jewellers (DPMS) for Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing (AML/ATF) non-compliance and penalties for non-compliance are on the rise.

CARM

In October 2024 the CBSA Assessment and Revenue Management (CARM) digital initiative will change how CBSA assesses and collects duties and taxes on commercial goods imported into Canada.

Canada - US Tariffs

Imposition of 25% tariff on all Canadian imports by the US is a ongoing issue and being monitored by the CJA
