Appraisal Coaching and Diamond Grading​
Following her retirement from 22 years of appraising, Karen  Howard  has turned to assisting new appraisers in bridging the training gap necessary for establishing a thriving appraisal business. Based in Guelph, Ontario, she continues to offer both online and in-person gemmology classes, ensuring that industry professionals and their clients communicate effectively in the language of gems.

CJA Guidelines to Advertising Lab Grown Diamonds
In response to the increase of lab grown diamonds being marketed to Canadian consumers the CJA has designed the CJA Guidelines to Advertising Lab Grown Diamonds (LGD) to assist industry trade members (retail, wholesale and manufacturers) in presenting LGD in compliance with Canadian law so consumers are not misled by unsubstantiated or false claims.
