What is the CJA member discount?
CJA members are eligible to receive up to 70% off domestic shipping rates and up to 80% off international shipping rates.
How do I get the discount?
Contact the CJA office and provide your existing FedEx account number. If you do not have a FedEx account, contact the CJA office for more information on how to create a new account.
How do I know if the discount is applied to my account?
When logged into your FedEx account, the available discounted rates will be displayed when selecting your shipping options. You will not see anything that says CJA Discount, however, you will notice the discounted shipping rates. You can confirm that the discount is active on your account by processing the same shipment while not logged into your FedEx account and comparing the rates.
Does the discount apply only when I send a shipment?
The available discounts are linked to your account. To receive the CJA discount, the account number linked to the CJA discount must be included at the time of processing the shipment. Discounts cannot be applied retroactively.
I am having trouble using the FedEx website, who can I call?
For assistance, please contact FedEx Technical Support at 1-877-339-2774.
What if I already have a discount on my FedEx account?
Only one discount can be active on your FedEx account at any given time. By applying the CJA discount, any previous discounts will be overwritten.
Can I make a FedEx Money Back Guarantee claim?
Due to the significant FedEx discounts offered with your CJA membership, transactions processed at our reduced rates are not eligible for reimbursement under FedEx’s Money Back Guarantee.
What is Declared Value?
The declared value of a package represents FedEx’s maximum liability in connection with the shipment of that package, including, but not limited to, any loss, damage, delay, or misdelivery relating to that shipment. As the shipper, it’s your responsibility to prove any actual damages. Exposure to and risk of any loss in excess of your declared value is assumed by you.
The amount you pay to declare a value is based on the item or items you’re shipping (total value) and the type of shipping you choose (FedEx Express®, FedEx Ground®, or FedEx Freight® service).
Declared value rates are incremental and depend on the amount you declare. The first $100 of value in your shipment is included in your shipping rate at no extra charge as part of our standard $100 limit of liability. Your declared value fees reflect any amount that exceeds that $100. Shipments containing items of extraordinary value are limited to a maximum declared value for carriage of $1,000.
Payment for declared value is due at the same time you create your shipment and pay your shipping costs.
