SUMMARY
The Bilingual Marketing Coordinator is a key member of the marketing department touching on initiatives for all product lines within the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Responsible for the tracking of all marketing requests, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Responsible for reviewing, replying, and maintaining the department’s shared email.
• Answer incoming calls and emails, in both English and French, relating to marketing.
• Manage the delivery of creative assets, insertion orders, campaign assets, and all relevant campaign materials in preparation for campaign launch adhering to deadlines.
• Assist with the development, procurement, and deployment of digital and traditional brand supporting materials.
• Utilize creative writing skills to assist with product marketing descriptions in both English and French.
• Maintain the departmental marketing calendar
• Create presentations for use at National Sales Conferences, Trade Shows, executive meetings, and customer meetings.
• Communicate with other departments to effectively execute campaigns and the release of marketing materials.
• Communicate marketing initiatives to external sales teams and internal departments.
• Responsible for administering the In-Store Signage program for all brands.
• Request, log, and track samples loaned for marketing initiatives.
• Process all marketing support claims.
• Responsible for monitoring and reporting on the departmental budget.
• Responsible for maintaining current accounts payable status with all marketing vendors.
• Submit department invoices for processing in ERP system.
• Assist the Director and Manager roles in preparing and disseminating marketing initiatives as required.
• Perform administrative support as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a comparable role with a consumer goods company.
• Advanced computer skills are necessary.
• Must be a quick learner, proactive, pay attention to detail, and enjoy a busy environment.
• Excellent English and French language and communication skills, both oral and written are vital, the ability to write and articulate clearly are a must.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and many deadlines throughout the week and month.
• This employee may interact with vendors in person. A polished professional appearance and attitude is required to succeed in this role.
• Must have strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Occasionally, this role may involve standing for a couple of hours and lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Flexibility in terms of hours of work, recognizing that there will be a need for overtime.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, their own vehicle, and the willingness/ability to travel.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Probation Period: 3 months
Vacation: 2 weeks
Benefits: After passing probation, company paid except LTD
Pension: Mandatory to join after 1 year tenure, further discussion during interview process
Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Location: Onsite at Markham office 5 days a week, no hybrid, no remote
