Position Summary:
Fireworks Gallery is a 45-year-old family run business dedicated to fine jewelry, custom design, and integrity in jewelry repairs. We are currently looking for a full time Bench worker/Goldsmith to join our team. This position requires a minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in custom goldsmithing and repairing of fine jewelry.
Key Responsibilities.
Onsite jewelry repair
Ring sizing, retipping, chain & earring repair
Assembly and finishing work
Laser welding
Stone setting
Casting jewelry from gold and silver
Casting cleanups
Clean and polish jewelry as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
5-10 years of repairing, design, and manufacturing jewelry
Apprenticeship in goldsmithing, jewelry manufacturing or completion of an accredited technical jewelry arts program or similar training
Full background/security check require
Good verbal and written English communication skills
Able to estimate time required to complete more complicated repairs and designs
Organized with attention to detail
Team player who is flexible to the changing needs of the business

Fireworks Gallery – Studio Repair Liaison
Position Title: Studio Repair liaison
Position Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic, organized, self-motivated Studio Repair liaison. The right candidate should have a natural sense of organization and communication skills and can work professionally within a team environment as well a create partnerships with our vendors and designers. The position requires a knowledge of goldsmithing and jewelry production. A key focus on logistics of jewelry repairs and design. This will involve managing the relationships with contractors (designers and partnering design studio). Working directly with clients since we are a client focused environment. Good computer, verbal and written communication skills is required.
This is a salaried position. Starting position start rate is $22.00/hour (6-month probationary period) After 6 months minimum the salary will be assessed with benefits
5 days a week expectation (Tuesday -Saturday) 9:15am-5:45pm = 42.50 hours/week (breaks included)

Studio Responsibilities
Studio Repair liaison is responsible for managing the flow of repairs, follow up on repair status with our studio partners. Assist sales associates have a better understanding of studio repair work by assisting in training, assist in quotes and preparing quotes on repairs, updating associates of any changes, follow up on any repair obstacles and communicating any repair logistics that will better assist our associates with client questions and or repairs. Acts as the liaison between the sales and the studio in the following ways:
Weekly review of all incoming repairs and filter then into priority as well as approvals.
Confirming and or adjusting quoted repairs
Weekly preparation of repairs to our repair partners
Be available to answer questions regarding repair work from either sales associates and or clients in the moment.
Gem identification/ gold testing, Appraisals
Quality control completed repairs. Address any issues in the moment and communicating to our business partners regularly on any quality issues found.
Oversee the sourcing of Gemstones and diamonds from suppliers. Manage orders in a timely and fiscally responsible way with partnership with the design studio as well as sales floor.
Manage all gemstone and diamond returns to vendors in a timely manner.
Ordering and entering /pricing of Stuller items on a weekly basis for studio and or special-order needs, partnering with store manager on client time expectations.
Training, communication, and development of associates on any updates on repair process.
Intermediate Repair Services Responsibilities
The responsibilities under this service line may evolve over time with the guidance of the owner. Some basic repairs are as follows:
Simple repairs including soldering of jump rings, chains, laser welding etc.
Buffing, polishing, finishing of pieces
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience in Bench work, Jewelry production and sales
Friendly and engaging personality and great people skills.
Ability to adapt to change and be flexible when it comes to work schedules.
High energy level and stress tolerance.
Goal driven, dependable and accountable.
Willingness to work in a team, supporting colleagues, praising good work, and refraining from criticism.

May be required to lift large amounts of stock.
Education & Experience Required:
Grade 12 or equivalent education.
Minimum of 5 years jewelry supervisor experience
